ABC has just announced the premiere date for Agent Carter season two, and much like with season one, season two will kick off with a two hour premiere on January 5th, 2016. With only three more episodes left before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. breaks for the mid-season (there won’t be a new episode next week), we should begin to see more information come out for Agent Carter over the coming weeks, including a new batch of promotional stills teasing the newest additions to the cast.

“Marvel’s Agent Carter” returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

As already revealed earlier this year, Peggy (Hayley Atwell) and crew will be relocating to Los Angeles for the show’s second season, and while a good amount of the cast from season one will return, the cast for season two has grown significantly over the past few months. Ken Marino is the newest addition to the cast as Joseph Manfredi. He joins the second season along with Kurtwood Smith (Vernon Masters), Wynn Everet (Whitney Frost/Madame Masque), Currie Graham (Calvin Chadwick), Lotte Verbeek (Ana Jarvis) and Reggie Austin (Jason Wilkes). Returning from the season one cast are Bridget Regan (Dottie Underwood), Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark), Chad Michael Murray (Agent Jack Thompson), James D’Arcy (Edwin Jarvis) and Enver Gjokaj (Agent Daniel Sousa).

As for S.H.I.E.L.D. fans? Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for the second half its third season on March 8th, 2016.
