As we approach the Winter Finale for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. tomorrow night, both ABC and the show’s cast are teasing the episode, but one cast member just gave us something else to look forward to ─ a “surprise teaser.”

Natalia Cordova-Buckley, who plays Yo-Yo Rodriguez in S.H.I.E.L.D. teased tonight on Twitter that fans should be “sure to watch the surprise teaser” that Marvel will air following the episode. Obviously, there are a few things this could mean. It could be a trailer for the second half of the season, it could be a post-credits scene to leave us on a cliffhanger (as if the episode won’t do that already), but one thing many are speculating it could be is the first footage from 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Unfortunately, Cordova-Buckley hadn’t considered that possibility and quickly informed fans that she was not referring to the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer.

Seeing that the film will debut July 7th, just over 8 months from now, we’re pretty much overdue for our first look at Spider-Man’s first solo film in the MCU, and a teaser trailer following the mid-season finale of S.H.I.E.L.D. seems as good as any place to debut it. Previously it was reported that Marvel would release the teaser alongside Rogue One, so the timing makes sense since that it will be released in just a matter of days.

That said, the actress shot down that chance in a later tweet where she stated that it wouldn’t be a teaser for Spider-Man, but rather something else. Another Twitter user then asked if it was a short run series similar to Agent Carter, and the actress said it was the closest guess so far. She went on to say that she hopes fans will enjoy “the small but very fun little surprise coming…” The actress went on to apologize to fans for the misdirection, saying “So sorry it isn’t what you all want it to be. Hope it makes you as happy about it though.”

As for what she could be teasing, the opportunities are endless. Could this be a one-shot for a (yet unannounced) spin-off series, testing the waters like they did with Agent Carter, long ago? Or perhaps they will be teasing a potential Secret Warriors spin-off, taking the focus from S.H.I.E.L.D. to the actual superheroes. Some options like this could help with the sagging ratings that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has had in the new timeslot this season.

Of course, there are many Marvel Television properties in development that we haven’t heard from in a while, such as Cloak and Dagger, Damage Control, and Runaways. While some of those will be on other networks, a teaser for them on ABC isn’t completely unlikely.

All we can do for now is speculate, but we don’t have long to wonder what the teaser will be, since the winter finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be on tomorrow night, at 10 P.M. Until then, what do you hope it will be?
