Yesterday, fans of Ant-Man were able to pick up the movie on Blu-Ray/DVD. A sequel was announced earlier this year and we will see a new Ant-Man story told in 2018.
Peyton Reed is returning to direct Ant-Man and the Wasp with Paul Rudd working on the script again. Earlier this week, Reed talked about who could be helping Rudd on the story noting that Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari would return. The two worked on the script for Ant-Man, but were not credited.
The main man working with Rudd in the first installment was Adam McKay, who has stated his interest in returning for the sequel. Now thanks to a report by Deadline, they have confirmed Barrer and Ferrari are back to help star, Paul Rudd, with the script, along with McKay returning to work on the sequel in some capacity.
According to Deadline, Barrer, Ferrari, and Rudd will be work on the script but McKay will help them come up with the overall story before they go on to actually write anything.
None of this is too surprising but hopefully between the four of them, they can figure out a great story to be told. Hopefully, with a lot less exposition and more story and action for both Ant-Man, Wasp, and Pym as they try to find Janet.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to hit theaters July 6, 2018.
