The hype is building for Captain America: Civil War with the premiere in Hollywood set for tonight. In the meantime, here are some new images from the film, which show Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) looking stressed but calm with a few of the other Avengers. Notably, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is with him, and it appears that they are not, yet, enemies. (Also, can we talk about Vision’s attire here? It’s pretty swanky, no?)
As for the news That Hashtag Show reported about multiple endings that were shot for Captain America: Civil War Comicbook.com caught up with the writers of the movie, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and they seemed to repel those rumors – insisting that the movie is the movie they always set out to make.
“No, I saw that on the internet and that’s crap,” McFeely told Mike Ryan of Uproxx. “I read, we read we filmed three deaths.”
Markus added, “This is very much the movie we’ve always intended on where we wanted to stand and where we wanted to leave it.”
Of course, just because they refute the rumors doesn’t mean they can’t be true to an extent. They could have very well filmed three deaths, but that doesn’t mean that the writers were ever uncertain of who’s death would be seen on screen. Either way, we’ll have to wait until May 6 to see where Markus and McFeely leave things in Captain America: Civil War when it hits movie theaters on May 6th, 2016.
