Back before Guardians of the Galaxy was released last August, fans were skeptical about the movie. Many expected it to bomb – convinced that there was no way the general audience would buy into a film with a gun wielding racoon and a tree that had a vocabulary consisting of four words. Of course, the box office earnings later proved those concerns to be unfounded. The film was a hit, and it was actually hailed the best Marvel movie by many fans.

Now, a little under a year later, Marvel is getting ready to release Ant-Man, and it’s safe to say fans have been skeptical about this movie since Edgar Wright left the project last summer. If you’ll recall, Wright had been developing the film for quite some time with Marvel and was set to finally begin filming when he abruptly left the project, citing creative differences. Shortly after, director Peyton Reed, someone that has been on Marvel’s radar for a while now, stepped into Wright’s place and shot the film from a script written by star Paul Rudd and Adam McKay.

Since the film wrapped in December, we’ve seen multiple trailers now, as well as a decent amount of stills, and while interest has definitely increased there is still plenty of hesitation among fans.

For those fans, here’s something that should help to get you excited: Marvel has just announced you’ll be able to catch a six minute extended look at Ant-Man when you go see Jurassic World in IMAX 3D this weekend!

This is a smart move on Marvel’s behalf. Not only are there multiple Marvel actors involved in this project (Chris Pratt, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, and Judy Greer), but the film is tracking huge, so it should help to build momentum for Ant-Man as we continue to near its release next month.

Ant-Man will hit movie theaters on July 17th, 2015.
