Back in July, it was revealed that Elodie Yung was joining the cast of Daredevil as Elektra. She will join Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher as the two newest and biggest additions to season 2. Elektra was teased in season 1 with a quick mention of the “Greek girl” that Matt used to date in college.
It is inevitable that at some point Elektra and Daredevil will rekindle their romance, but with season 1 showing Matt’s interest in Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) and a recent photo hinting at the chemistry between Matt and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), we have to wonder when it happens and how serious it is.
Daredevil actor Charlie Cox recently spoke about their relationship in an interview with Empire (via Comicbook.com).
I think every single man has an Elektra in their past. If you imagine that relationship, a very fiery, very lustful, very loving and hating relationship, and then you add to that two people who know serious martial arts, you’re going to have an interesting dynamic.
Elektra and Daredevil’s relationship will certainly have an effect on the other characters, Hell’s Kitchen, and now even farther. Netflix announced an expansion of their streaming service and in doing so, released a new promotional video featuring the devil of Hell’s Kitchen.
