UPDATE: Marvel has also released the first official poster and synopsis which we’ve gone ahead and included below with the original post.
Days after those March release date rumors surfaced on the web, Marvel and Netflix have finally revealed the release date of the much awaited second season of the Man Without Fear along with an ambiguous teaser. Save the date as punishment will be unleashed on Hell’s Kitchen on March 18th, 2016!
The teaser mostly features several key moments of the first season painted on a mural including our first look at Frank Castle’s iconic Punisher skull along with our favorite characters from the first season. Also if you look closely in the bottom left, you’ll see a peculiar pair of blades.
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
This March 18 date for Season 2 premieres a month earlier than it did for Season 1 which hit Netflix in April 10 of last year. It’s highly likely that Marvel/Netflix set an earlier release date for Season 2 to accommodate the upcoming Luke Cage show, which began production almost the same time as Daredevil‘s second season. Basing it on their production timeline, we may get a Luke Cage show as early as June this year.
Now that we have a teaser, poster and synopsis out, it’ll will only be a matter of time until we get the trailer. Everyone get hyped as we’re 2 months away from this show!!
