During the press conference for Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed that Doctor Strange, which will star Benedict Cumberbatch, is set to begin filming in November.
Per Comicbook.com, Feige has stated that he’s excited to see Cumberbatch in the titular role and that, like with all of the MCU projects, the plan is to see to it that Doctor Strange will be a strong movie on its own.
Since the casting of Cumberbatch, we haven’t heard too much regarding the film. There were rumors that Chiwetel Ejiofor was up for a role, but we’ve yet to hear anything official from Marvel.
One thing that we do know is that they’ve started location scouting earlier this week thanks to director Scott Derrickson’s Twitter.

I’d expect things to pick-up on the Doctor Strange front once Captain America: Civil War begins filming, which shouldn’t be much longer now.
