Since it’s creation, the television side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown almost exponentially. With several shows having debuted already, fans are anxious for news on the upcoming seasons, and TVLine’s Fall TV Preview provided scoops on the upcoming seasons of ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Netflix’s Jessica Jones.
Some fans may remember that Calvin Zabo, father of Daisy/Quake from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., plays a significant role in Robbie Reyes’ transition into Ghost Rider in the comics. When asked whether fan-favorite Calvin “Cal” Zabo (played by Kyle MacLachlan) would be returning to S.H.I.E.L.D. due to Reyes’ being included in the upcoming season, showrunner Jed Whedon hinted that Ghost Rider’s origins may change.
We don’t want people who have read the comics to know exactly what’s coming.
TVLine also got a chance to sit down with Jessica Jones showrunner, Melissa Rosenberg, where they asked her for any bit of news she could scrape up. In traditional showrunner fashion, Rosenberg didn’t reveal much, but when it came to Jessica’s new foe, she revealed we may see more than one in season two.
David Tennant has no equal–so I’m not even trying to go there. The biggest mistake I could make is to try to repeat that. So it will be a very different kind of antagonist… or antagonists.
Here’s to hoping for epic seasons for both shows! Would you like to see Zabo return for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Who should Jessica face off against in season two? Sound off in the comments below!
