At the end of last week, Marvel made headlines by announcing an incredible cast for Thor: Ragnarok. When they did, they finally confirmed two long rumored, and partially confirmed, characters with Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Cate Blanchett as Hela. Ruffalo has previously been basically confirming every rumor, including Blanchett’s role as a villain. Even though this is Thor’s franchise, there is plenty of other excitement being directed towards his supporting cast. Ragnarok will mark the first appearance of Ruffalo’s Hulk outside of an Avengers film, but also will be the first Marvel film to have a female lead villain.

In a recent interview with ET Online, Ruffalo talked about what Blanchett will bring to the role. He already showed her the love and when asked again about her role, he does not make it sound promising for our heroes.

She plays the worst of the worst. So evil. She is going to kill us. It’s such a great part she gets to play.

It would not be an interview with Ruffalo without him talking about his character as well. He has already described the movie as a cosmic road trip, so we should see a hopefully more complex side of Hulk. But, if you are a fan of Hulk smashing, Ragnarok sounds like it will be right up your ally.

I think it will be smashing. You’ll see a lot more Hulk and… The Hulk gets Hulk-ier. The Hulk Hulks out. Hulk-ier and bigger.

Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to hit theaters November 3, 2017.
