A few days ago it was announced that Marvel and ABC promoted newcomer Luke Mitchell, who plays Lincoln on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., to series regular for the upcoming third season. This left many fans curious about Mack, played by Henry Simmons, who joined the show in the second season.

While Simmons’ Mack appeared in every episode in season two, he was only credited as a guest star. Near the end of the season, Mack told Coulson that he’d quit S.H.I.E.L.D., before going on to help him and his team stop the Inhumans from overtaking the organization. This led many to wonder what Mack’s status would be for season three. Will he continue to still work for S.H.I.E.L.D.? Will he continue to work alongside Coulson? Although he was back to working with Coulson at the end of the season two finale, given his differences with Coulson and the Inhumans, who knows what is in store for Mack in season three.

These are all questions we should get answers to when season three premieres this fall on ABC.
