The Belko Experiment‘s PR campaign has proven to be a great way to get information out of James Gunn on his other major project of the year. So far it has been confirmed that Sylvester Stallone would appear in the film, but so far we have no real idea what to expect from the character. We now got a bit more information on what to expect when we see Stallone appear in the film.
Gunn later tweeted, adding that Rosenbaum was playing a “major Marvel cosmic character”:

This is interesting, as Stallone is playing a character that could potentially play a much larger role further down the line, or is just a nice little nod for fans. It is also surprising to see him confirm that Michael Rosenbaum, who many might remember for his role as Lex Luthor on Smallville. Seems that these two actors play an important duo to the show, but who could they be? With Collector and Grandmaster making appearances throughout the MCU, it could potentially be another one of the Elders making an appearance. Another theory was that we may see him as an older interpretation of Richard Rider a.k.a. Nova, but Gunn has noted he is not that interested in the character. At this point, all we have is speculation.
What do you think? Looking forward to see Rosenbaum appear in the film? What roles do you think he and Stallone have?
