James Gunn has a strong reputation for being down to earth and personal with his fans, and when he’s not in the middle of shooting films such as his upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, he’s very active on his social media accounts. In his usual fashion, Gunn took to Facebook last night to do a Q&A session with his fans. When asked about whether or not Marvel TV characters such as Daredevil and Jessica Jones would show up in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, Gunn had this to say:

While speculation has run wild over the past few months about whether or not we should expect to see any Marvel characters make the jump from the small screen to the silver one, this seems to be a fairly definitive answer for the time being. Gunn has become a prominent member of the Marvel Studios family, and has previously shown that being on the inside, he knows a thing or two about other Marvel projects. For example, he also tweeted back in March claiming that he had seen Captain America: Civil War, and credited Tom Holland as the best on-screen version of Spider-Man to date in his opinion, one that a lot of fans have shared.

Granted, Marvel is a big machine, and a crossover like this isn’t too far of a stretch, especially since many once thought that seeing Spider-Man appear in a Marvel Studios film was impossible until they struck a deal with Sony for his cameo in Civil War, as well as his own franchise based in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That being said, Gunn has been true to his word in the past, but anything is possible. Maybe one day we’ll get to see crossovers like Spider-Man and Daredevil taking on the Kingpin, but unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that it’ll happen anytime soon.
