When the Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 took over the stage in Hall H during SDCC this past weekend, they did so while facing off against the Ravagers. If you’ve watched the panel footage – which doesn’t include any footage from the movie, sadly – you’ll note that, outside of Kurt Russell, the Ravagers gave trouble to every cast member as they took over the stage. In some instances, they even messed with the audience. Sure, it didn’t top Tom Hiddleston‘s surprise appearance as Loki a few years back, but it was still a fun one, especially considering Michael Rooker joined them on stage in full Yondu garb.
The group of Ravagers included Gunn’s brother, Sean Gunn, who returns as Kraglin, as well as newcomers Jimmy Urine, who many of you will probably recognize from the group Mindless Self Indulgence, as Half-Nut, and Chris Sullivan, who will be playing Taserface. Gunn posted a photo of the Ravagers to Instagram over the weekend, revealing each of their character names. This serves as the first confirmation from Gunn concerning Sullivan as Taserface, a character that was originally rumored to appear earlier this year.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, which recently wrapped production in Atlanta, is set to hit movie theaters on May 5th, 2017.
