Just as Kevin Feige is the man to oversee the movie side of the MCU, the rapidly growing TV side has Jeph Loeb. He has helped construct Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter on TV, as well as all the Netflix properties. Marvel and Netflix debuted the first season of Daredevil earlier this year and are hard at work developing season 2, finishing Jessica Jones, and prepping to film Luke Cage.

With so many projects in development on the TV side, Loeb is a very busy man. He took some time recently to sit down and talk with ET Online about what the future holds for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, the entire Netflix lineup, developing projects, and crossovers.

After the success of Daredevil, fans have been hoping he will pop up in other properties or that someone like Coulson (Clark Gregg) will make an appearance in the show. Here is what Loeb said on the possibility of actors crossing over,

We’ve made no bones about it. It is the same world. We don’t want it to be an Easter egg farm.

There is nothing that could make it not happen. It’s just a question of when it would happen and when it’s appropriate.

Daredevil was also quickly renewed by Netflix and it appears they have more control over the schedule than Marvel. Here is what Loeb said when asked if the renewal changed the Netflix slate,

Since we haven’t yet explored exactly what the schedule is, I can’t speak to it. I can just simply say to you that it doesn’t. And to a certain extent, we were thrilled because it just gives us more time for people to be invested in Matt (Charlie Cox) and Matt’s story. I can tell you that given the announcement that we’ve made that Jon Bernthal is joining us as Punisher and Elodie Yung is joining us as Elektra, our challenge is to come up with a season two that is a worthy successor. That’s always the challenge whenever you’re doing more of anything.

That’s Netflix’s choices. If you don’t work in the business, people sometimes don’t understand. The movie division gets to decide what movies they’re going to make. The television division gets to wait until the network says, “We’d like more of this please.” But how that happens is through popularity.

He also teased how good the performance that Jon Bernthal, who was recently seen filming season 2, will give as Frank Castle aka The Punisher in Daredevil.

When folks get a hold of Jon Bernthal’s performance as the Punisher, they will be blown away. No pun intended.

Additionally, Loeb talked about Jessica Jones and what fans can expect in terms of tone and the performances of Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) and David Tennant (Killgrave).

I think people knew, as soon as we announced Jessica Jones, Jessica Jones was based on a much more adult comic. The source material came that way. She has real problems with a number of things that she abuses! And we’re not shying away from that. There’s no tidying her up. And Krysten Ritter is killing it. And when people get a hold of what David Tennant is doing as Killgrave…

This is more of a psychological thriller. This speaks to when you think about what happened to Jessica and what sort of destroyed her life and how she tried to put it together, and then to have to confront the person who deconstructed her world, that’s a very powerful, emotional place to start from. We just think people are going to be blowing through those. You get to the end of the first episode, and you go, “I need to know what the rest of the story is.”

With Jessica Jones nearing the end of it’s shooting schedule, everyone has been wondering if Charlie Cox will pop up as Daredevil in the show or maybe Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.

Without giving anything away, they’re in the same area. In some cases they are in the same neighborhood. One of the things that is important to us is, when you enter the police station, it’s the same police station. When you go to the hospital, you start to see the same people. [But] we don’t want people suddenly going, “Wait, is that Matt Murdock that’s walking down the street?” Because that’s going to feel odd, and in a weird way feel false.

Just little things, like the newspaper is The New York Bulletin. And you see it in different shows that we do, and I hear that it’s now getting picked up into the movie side too. It’s one of those things where we’re trying to create something that Marvel fans have become very comfortable with, and something that I’m teased about all the time, which is hashtag it’s all connected.

On some shows, you go, “They’re using that same hospital entrance that I saw on Law & Order?” In our world, it’s like, “No, no, no. This is the hospital that’s in the neighborhood, and if you lived in New York on the west side you go to Roosevelt.” That’s the kind of the thing that we really take a lot of care and try to make it feel that way. But, by the same token, we don’t want you to feel like you’re watching the same show again. So, there will be lots of stuff for people to keep an eye out for.

Iron Fist is the last Netflix show that doesn’t have any actors currently attached. Once we get the lead actor, the supporting cast should fill up, and it appears that we may finally get the casting announcement shortly.

Uh, close. You know, we have not started Luke [Cage], so the only reason you know who Luke (Mike Colter) is is because he appears in Jessica. We held back as long as we could on who was cast for Jess, and what a wonderful cast that turned out to be. We’re at the very early stages on Luke, so I’m not really worried about where we are going to be with Fist. There are some ideas that we have. And when we get there, I’m sure we’ll be talking about it.

Not to long ago, there were rumors that Marvel was developing a show based on Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel). ET Online asked Loeb about this rumor and it seems like that is something we get sooner rather than later.

Uhhhhhh… [Long thoughtful pause] It is… [Another long pause] Uh…not something that I can talk about. [Laughs] Ah! I thought, “You know…” And then I thought, “No, this just gets me into trouble.”

We are absolutely aware of the popularity of the character. And the question is, where will she appear and how will that happen and those kind of things.

There are sure to be an abundance of news about Marvel TV as the Netflix shows continue to film and with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gearing up to start season 3. Stay tuned to the site for the latest developments.
