With Iron Fist set to enter production tomorrow, it’s time to start looking ahead to The Defenders. On Friday, it was announced that Daredevil season two showrunners, Douglas Petrie And Marco Ramirez, would serve as showrunners on The Defenders, which will see Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) team-up to battle their biggest threat yet. As it stands, there isn’t much else that we know about the upcoming mini-series or just how many characters from the other shows will be crossing over. But we at least know of one Jessica Jones cast member that’ll be joining Ritter and company on screen: Eka Darville, who played Malcolm in the series.

While attending the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Melbourne, Australia, one of the Spoiler TV team members was able to ask Darville about the upcoming series and whether or not he’d be joining Ritter, Darville confirmed that he would.

Tyler: Malcolm and Jessica were quite close by the end of Jessica Jones. So I was wondering if you know yet whether or not you’ll appear in ‘The Defenders’?

Eka: Yes. I will be in it. I’m not sure how much yet but I will be in it.

The news of Darville joining Ritter in The Defenders is a nice surprise, especially considering the second season of Jessica Jones seemingly won’t hit until after The Defenders. For now, you can watch Darville in the first season of Jessica Jones on Netflix.
