Marvel’s fourth series for Netflix, Iron Fist, went into production back in April, and while we were hit with a ton of set photos early on, there’s still a lot of secrecy surrounding the project. As of right now, Marvel and Netflix have only confirmed six cast members – Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Jessica Stroup (Joy Meachum), David Wenham (Harold Meachum), Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum), and Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth) – while also, to no one’s surprise, seemingly confirming that Rosario Dawson‘s Claire Temple will also feature in a still unknown capacity. And through some digging around, we even uncovered a few actors that seem to be attached to the project: Sameer Ali Khan, David Sakurai, and Olek Krupa.

And although we’ve already seen a teaser for the upcoming series, which Netflix used to confirm a 2017 release, there’s still a good amount we don’t know regarding the series. Such as, which directors the series has brought in to bring Danny’s story to life. There was one rumor that suggested Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik would be directing an episode, but outside of that, it’s been pretty quiet. However, while doing some digging online, I may have come across another director involved with the series. While it isn’t exactly concrete, it looks as though director Jet Wilkinson has directed an episode of Iron Fist.

Here are some clues I came across on Instagram. Again, none of this is concrete, just purely speculation at this point.

First off, Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand, recently started following the director on Instagram. Why is this notable? Looking at who the actor follows on Instagram, he tends to mainly follow people he works with. Case in point? His former Game of Thrones co-stars. However, he has recently begun following his Iron Fist co-stars, and in between following them, he randomly began following Wilkinson – someone he has not previously worked with.

Then, of course, there are the photos of the director on a New York set.

Now, of course, as I’ve already said, this is all speculation. However, the pieces do seem to fit.

If Wilkinson has, in fact, directed an episode of Iron Fist, it’ll prove to be an interesting (and incredibly welcome) director choice from both Marvel and Netflix. Wilkinson has worked on shows such as Wentworth Prison, ABC’s Nashville, and Madam Secretary.

UPDATE: After looking even closer as the screenshots I snapped, I noticed that the font on the chair behind Jet looked familiar. And then I realized Quinton Peeples, who works on the series, posted a chair with the same branding not too long ago. Sure enough, the color schemes and designs match. I’m now pretty confident that Wilkinson directed an episode of Iron Fist!

Iron Fist is set to hit Netflix sometime in 2017.

*Note the ABC connection? 😉
