With the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron now less than a month away, we’re slowly starting to hear more about the movie and what we can expect. According to Joss Whedon, the writer and director of Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, we shouldn’t expect a post-post-credits scene this time around, or an appearance by a certain Captain.

While chatting with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming release, Whedon stated that there will not be a post-credits scene because they were unable to think of something to top the shawarma scene. For fans worried we won’t be seeing any kind of tag, however, Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, was quick to assure fans that there will still be a tag during the mid-credits, just nothing at the very end.

“There will be a tag,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige clarifies. That is, there will be a short, epilogue-like scene that pops up shortly after the credits start. “But there’s not a post-post-credit scene.”

“There is nothing at the very end. And that’s not a fake-out,” Whedon says. “We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’”

Feige also inisited that Captain Marvel will not be appearing in Age of Ultron as rumors have suggested for some time now.

Also, the movie, out May 1, will include many other superpowered characters seen in previous films, including a few surprises, but rumors of Captain Marvel getting an introduction are false, Feige promises. There is a secret female character, but she may be familiar already. “It’s not a big deal. But it’s a good character,” he says.

But perhaps the most interesting bit from that reveal is this peice below:

E.R.’s Linda Cardellini and Before Sunset’s Julie Delpy have been confirmed as part of the cast, although the filmmakers don’t want to reveal who they are playing yet. One thing is for certain: Someone plays the instructor to a young Black Widow, and Feige and Whedon promise that will be a powerful moment in the history of Scarlett Johansson’s character.

So while we’re still not sure which characters Cardellini and Delpy are playing for sure, we do know that one of them will be the intructor to a young Black Widow. (My guess would be Delpy.)
