Luke Cage has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award, Marvel announced on Twitter today. Marvel’s latest property to debut in the Netflix corner of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe is nominated for the award show’s ‘Favorite Premium Sci-Fi/Fantasy Series’ award. Luke Cage joins Game of Thrones, Outlander, Stranger Things, and Westworld in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category.

While Mike Colter, Cheo Coker, and company are going up against science fiction/fantasy titans such HBO’s Game of Thrones or Netflix’s surprising hit Stranger Things for this award, they can certainly find comfort in the fact they’re part of Marvel’s most successful TV property, as we reported earlier this week.
Approximately 6.34 percent of video viewers aged 18 to 49 watched Luke Cage within the first 32 days of it’s release, a metric which is higher than both Marvel properties currently on Netflix, Daredevil and Jessica Jones, as well as wildly popular Netflix originals Making A Murderer and Stranger Things.
