With a little over four months standing between us and Doctor Strange, Marvel’s most magical movie yet is also one of the more mysterious. Even though we have seen our fair share of set photos and with a trailer already being released, we still do not know that much about what this film is about. Outside of the obvious that Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will seek out The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) to help him, before eventually becoming the Sorcerer Supreme, what threat will lead him to becoming a hero has been kept under wraps. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but when character’s identities still remain a secret, we reach a new level of secrecy.

Marvel has already confirmed a majority of the cast but when Mads Mikklesen and Rachel McAdams were confirmed to join after months of rumors, there were no character details attached. Now that the promotion of the film is set to gear up, Heroic Hollywood has gotten their hands on a toy set prior to it’s official release and the description looks to confirm who each of the aforementioned actors are playing.

Marvel Minimates Series 70 Doctor Strange Movie 2-Pack Asst.

A Diamond Select Toys Release! The next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now the next entry in the long-running Marvel Minimates line! Series 70 of Marvel Minimates mini-figures travels to the world of the Doctor Strange movie, with four different two-packs: Dr. Strange with The Ancient One, Mordo with Kaecilius, the specialty-exclusive Stephen Strange with Christine Palmer and the specialty-exclusive Wong & Zealot! Each 2-inch Minimates mini-figure features 14 points of articulation and fully interchangeable parts. Each two-pack is packaged in a full-color window box.

This is not too surprising given previous reports, but it is nice to know character names moving forward. Credit where credit is due, Latino-Review has previously reported that Mads would be Kaecilius and that McAdams would play Palmer. Now that we know who each are playing, we may be able to get a better understanding of what their roles could be in the movie. In the comics, Kaecilius works for a villainous Mordo so I would not be surprised if that relationship is almost reversed, where Kaecilius is the one that ends up turning Mordo evil by the end of the film by giving him more power or some other promise of power. Christine Palmer, also known as Night Nurse, hopefully will be around for awhile and gets to fix up not only Strange, but also some of his soon to be Avenger pals. Let us know what you think of this latest information in the comments below!

Doctor Strange is scheduled to hit theaters November 4, 2016.
