With production officially underway and the Life Model Decoys set to make an appearance on the fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it was only a matter of time before ABC and Marvel cast the role of Aida. And that role has gone to none other than actress Mallory Jansen. The news comes exclusively from TV Line. As of right now, it’s unknown how extensive her role will be or when she’ll first pop up.
Mallory Jansen is staying in the ABC family, with a very special role on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TVLine has learned exclusively that the onetime Galavant queen is trading her ill-gotten crown for a belly full of circuit boards, playing the robot Aida during Season 4 of the ABC series.
Fans of ABC’s cancelled series Galavant, a series that was cancelled far too early, will recognize Jansen as the (rather evil) Queen Madalena. However, Jansen has also previously appeared on Freeform’s Baby Daddy and Young & Hungry. Aida first appeared as Dr. Holden Radcliffe’s (John Hannah) interface computer system in the season three finale of S.H.I.E.L.D. and was at the time voiced by Amanda Rea.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season four will debut on ABC on September 20th at 10 PM EST. Be sure to tune in!
