Welcome to the MCU Weekly Pulse, a rundown of all the stories throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we didn’t cover in News or Features this past week.

Thor’s Chris Hemsworth Comments On Sitting Out Civil War

Captain America: Civil War is now on the very cusp of breaking globally with some European markets already open to general audiences. One person who’s not invited however is Thor – he’s off-world following the events the Avengers: Age of Ultron. Chris Hemworth has chimed in on his behalf concerning where the God of Thunder stands in regards to either #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan.

Marvel’s official Twitter channel is in on the action, however. It posted these production stills featuring Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and more.

Unlike Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl‘s Zemo will be appearing in the film, even though he hasn’t really been featured in the promos thus far. But while he’s barely in the promos, you can watch him below revealing how big his trailer was compared to the rest of the cast.

Regarding Marvel’s working relationship with the Russo Brothers, MCU overlord Kevin Feige has explained what made them, and other independent directors like them, such a good fit for the studio’s creative model. Talking to Vulture, Feige gave some insight into their selection process with the following comment:

“(We select) from a pool of filmmakers not who have done big, giant films before but who have done interesting things that made us stop and go, ‘That’s cool’. If they’re up to the task of working on something this collaborative and this intensive — because a very expensive, big-budget movie that has a release date is inherently intense.”

While attending Wondercon, the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D were asked which character, under the MCU umbrella, they’d like to see their own character team up with on screen. See their answers in the video below.

As evidenced by this script-reading for this past week’s episode, things have been really heating up between Iain De Caestecker‘s Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge‘s Simmons (despite the latter having very cold hands).
