ABC upfronts are today, which means new information is starting to makes its way out regarding shows like Agent Carter, which was just renewed for a second season, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which just landed a third season renewal.
First up, the Tuesday line-up will be changing a bit. The Muppets and Fresh Off the Boat will act as the lead-ins for S.H.I.E.L.D., with new show Quantico set to follow in Forever‘s place. Agent Carter will remain a mid-season show, filling in between the first and second half of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s third season.
Fresh Off the Boat moves back to 8 after Muppets, then Real O'Neals. Agent Carter back between SHIELD 1/2 seasons. Wicked City subs Quantico

Along with the new schedule, ABC has also released plot descriptions for both Agent Carter season two and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D season three, and there are some big changes coming to Agent Carter!
Season two synopsis for Agent Carter:
“Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.”
With the show moving from New York City to Los Angeles, there is the possibility of some major cast changes. As of right now, James D’Arcy (Jarvis), Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark), Chad Michael Murray (Jack Thompson), Enver Gjokaj (Daniel Sousa) and Lyndsy Fonseca (Angie Martinelli) have yet to be confirmed. Although I’d expect that to change soon.
Hayley Atwell has made comments about working with the cast again, so I’m expecting a good amount of them to return at least.
Spoiler Warning: Zap2It has listed some of the confirmed returning cast for season three. If you don’t want to be spoiled for tonight’s two-hour finale, you should probably hold off on reading any further.
Season three synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.:
“Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) embarks on a deadly new secret mission to protect the world from new threats in the wake of SHIELD’s wars with Hydra and a rogue faction of Inhumans.”
Returning “SHIELD” cast members include Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Lance Hunter and Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse.
Season two of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. concludes on ABC tonight with an explosive two-hour finale. Be sure to tune in!
