Valentine’s Day may be a day of romancing and intimacy but it’s also the day the Doctor Strange Blu-Ray is being released. And with every new Marvel Cinematic Universe DVD release comes a slew of previews, teasing what’s to come in the coming days and the Doctor Strange Blu-Ray delivers, as it features a bunch of exciting concept art from Thor: Ragnarok. Check ’em out above nerds!!

Couple of juicy tidbits from those images:

  • Hela confronts Thor and Loki in what seems to be an alleyway on Earth. Given that New York is probably the only place in the film we’ll see the sons of Odin visit, it’s safe to assume that Hela follows them there to stop them from getting help from a certain Master of Mystic Arts. We’ve seen images of a hooded figure following the two Asgardians in the city back when they were filming in Australia, so I’m guessing that that figure is Hela. Fun tidbit for those who aren’t into Norse mythology: Hela is the daughter of Loki in the ancient Prose Edda and the daughter of an alternate version of Loki in the comics.

  • That’s a magnificent first look at what will be the closest thing we’ll get to a Planet Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Just Hulk and Thor (in a helmet nonetheless) dishing it out in a gladiatorial fight, just as Jack Kirby intended it. I personally am not a fan of the helmet and have grown accustomed to seeing Thor without one but it’s fantastic they’re calling back to it for the first time in six years. And check out those weapons wielded by Hulk; a bigass axe and a giant sword. The other image also showcases Hulk wielding a ginormous hammer instead of the sword.

  • Check out that image of Taika Waititi viewing the monitor. Look closely at the pictures next to the monitor. It’s a series of images featuring a giant orange creature carrying what looks like to be a weapon of sorts. If I were a betting man, I’d say that the orange creature is none other than Surtur, the demonic Balrog of Muspelheim.

There you have it folks. A first good look at the film to cap off the Marvel Cinematic Universe film of 2017. It’s all uphill from here so make sure to book your tickets for the damn hype train. What did you think of the images? Let us know in the comments below!
