If there is one thing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has done consistently well since its first season, it’s that the show continues grow, not only into an important part of the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that the effects continue to push the limits of what we’d expect to see on primetime television. This season was a big change from the first two as it saw the inclusion of a lot more powered people, as well as a look at an entirely different planet, taking the series away from the grounded aspect it focused on so much during the first season.

To go along with the concept art for the design of Hive on the series, we now have a look at the VFX breakdown from CoSA VFX that highlights the great work they’ve done this past season – from Hive, to Hellfire’s chain, and the Secret Warriors. You can check out the full breakdown above!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for season four this fall on ABC at 10 PM. Need to catch-up before then? The first two seasons are already on Netflix, with the third season set to hit the streaming service on June 16th!
