With Agents of HYDRA taking over the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s last pod, and a variety of hints being dropped that we could potentially see some characters from seasons past return, an Instagram post may have given some more hope that we may indeed see some of them return. A while back we reported that B.J. Britt might return as Agent Triplet, or even the return of HYDRA agent, Bakshi. Thanks to a recent Instagram post we can potentially add one more returning character, as Nick Blood was sighted back on set together with actor Henry Simmons.

In addition, Brett Dalton has been enjoying his return to set, as he made a few videos exploring the studio lot. It’s a short video and a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment right at the beginning and could just be a prop that’s being thrown away and not actually used on set but because of its significance throughout the season, it would not be too surprising to expect the book to make a return in some capacity. There’s a strong fan outcry for Ghost Rider’s return after all.

We also received some additional news, as SpoilerTV released the title for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s 20th episode, “Farewell, Cruel World!” which may finally tease the return of the agents leaving the Framework and returning to the original world. The fact that not everyone wants to return could hint at Mace fearing a return to his more cowardly life. Maybe May has completely been swallowed up by her own guilt over how HYDRA took over that she does not feel as if she has any right to return. The title also gives some insight into the cast listing, which reveals that we may be returning to the real world with Natalia Cordova-Buckley returning as Yo-Yo.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Who is the one trying to stay in the Framework? How could the Darkhold make a return this season?
