It is a great time to be alive for comic fans, both old and new. We currently live in the golden age of superhero movies with us getting a brand new one in theaters every few months. Before this age, a slew of lesser quality and not as well received adaptations were released. Such movies as Hulk, Catwoman, Fantastic Four, and many others were part of that slate, but another franchise was Nicolas Cage‘s Ghost Rider films. Neither of these are regarded as top of the line films, which likely plays a part in so many people clamoring for an adequate adaptation of the character.

Unless Marvel plans to give us all a big surprise, seeing Johnny Blaze on the big screen again is out of the picture. The character has been linked to a possible Netflix appearance, but that still seems like that is a few years away. If he ever does become a player in the MCU, an actor is needed for the role and one popular pick has been The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus. In a recent interview with Uproxx to promote his new show, Ride With Norman Reedus, he was asked about possibly playing the character, and it is safe to say he would be excited if the opportunity arose.

Hell yeah. It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Fuck yeah. I’m down.

His answer was in response to starring in a movie, but like I said, that is out of the question right now. With Reedus starring in a show that loves to kill people off, and with how last season ended he could already be dead and no one knows it, he could be soon looking for another series. Reedus is the right age, has the right look, has the right personality, and everything else that would make him a great lead for a potential Ghost Rider series on Netflix. Let us know if you would like to see Reedus as Ghost Rider in the comments below!
