Phase 3 has yet to officially begin and even with ten movies announced over the course of the next few years, we always want more. This is what has become of fans now that we live in this world that is full of superhero movies. While we have to wait and see how Phase 3 plays out, including which characters make it out alive, which will die, and which will be introduced, it is hard to get a grasp on just what the future holds.

With characters such as Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel surely to get more movies, there are only so many other slots for Marvel to release films. One of the long rumored movies not listed that has been highly requested by fans is Iron Man 4 with Robert Downey Jr. back in the lead role. Downey has previously been weary to committing to another solo film, and has compared Captain America: Civil War to being his Iron Man 4. Just when we had all thought it was unlikely this would happen, however, it appears he has now changed his tune.

While talking to ABC Nightline, Downey backed off his previous comments saying it is still possible we see him lead another Iron Man film.

I feel like I could do one more.

The thought of an Iron Man 4 at this point is hard to think about without knowing where this character will be at after Thanos comes to Earth. Will he still be alive? Probably, but only Kevin Feige knows the answer at this point. If it does happen, Evans has already said he’d be willing to appear. Let us know if you want to see an Iron Man 4 and what it should entail in the comments below!

Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
