One of the newest Inhumans might be debuting on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. come next Tuesday, November 29. While nothing has been confirmed by ABC or Marvel TV, the facts laid out make for a pretty convincing argument that Dinesh Deol, a.k.a. Grid, will appear on the show.
Earlier this season in ‘Uprising‘, you probably remember seeing that Senator Ellen Nadeer’s brother was an Inhuman undergoing Terrigenesis, explaining her hatred, for lack of a better term, against the Inhuman race.
In the previously-released synopsis for next week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, we saw that Indian actor Manish Dayal received a casting credit simply as “Man”. That fact isn’t too convincing in its own right, but couple that with the fact that Dayal has co-starred in films alongside legendary actress Helen Mirren, the speculation might have some body to it.
Additionally, as Comic Book Movie notes, in the synopsis, Dayal was listed before several actors that have already had substantial story arcs this season, which is quite a big deal as synopses typically list the actors in order from biggest roles to smallest.
Guest starring are Jason O’Mara as Director Jeffrey Mace, Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes, Mallory Jansen as Aida, Manish Dayal as man, Alexander Wraith as Agent Anderson, Lorenzo James Henrie as Gabe Reyes, Maximilian Osinski as Agent Davis, Patrick Cavanaugh as Burrows, Jose Zuniga as Eli Morrow, Blaise Miller as Agent Nathanson, Arnell Powell as scientist, Lance Broadway as Tac Team Leader and David An as Zhi.
Before anyone goes on to say that he’s simply playing “man”, let’s not forget that Daisy’s mom Jiaying, played by actress Dichen Lachman, wasn’t actually named in the episode synopsis for her character’s debut. So it’s entirely possible that Dayal’s character will be a larger one than simply that of “man”. Danish Deol/Grid is one of the few Indian Inhumans in the Marvel Comicsverse, so it I think it makes sense. What do you think, MCUEx fans? Will we be seeing Grid next week?
