With production set to kick off on Spider-Man: Homecoming today, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that a trio of newcomers has just joined the cast. Unsurprisingly, as has been the case with most of the casting announcements, news regarding what roles the latest additions will be playing are being kept under-wraps.
Spider-Man’s web has ensnared the talents of relative newcomers Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendebork Jr. and JJ Totah.
So who are these new cast members? Much like has been the case with most of the teen cast, this latest trio consists of three on-the-rise stars. Amara’s biggest role to date has been playing the teenage version of Melissa McCarthy‘s Michelle in The Boss. And Lendeborg Jr. only has a few credits to his name as of now, including The Land, which is scheduled for an August release. Interestingly enough, it appears that Totah, who is the youngest of the three, has the most credits, as well as a Disney connection given that he has appeared in multiple Disney shows.
I kind of love that they’re focusing on up & coming talent for the teen cast in this film. What about you? Sound off in the comments below!
Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit movie theaters next summer.
