Fans may have to wait until January 10, 2017, for the new episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but there’s plenty of room for speculation until then. Episode 409, titled “Broken Promises”, teases the return of (the real) May– the synopsis for the episode can be found below:
“Coulson is unaware of a dark secret May is hiding, even as the two grow closer; Aida is determined to find the Darkhold. ”
According to Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the real May has been locked up and a cyborg version has been palling around with Agent Coulson. Coulson is apparently in the dark about this fact, as he grows closer to May. We’re not sure why there’s an LMD (Life Model Decoy) version of May that was placed within the organization. We’ll have to find out when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. LMD return. We’ll also see more of Senator Nadeer and her Inhuman brother.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays on ABC. The first three seasons are currently available to stream through Netflix, while fans can catch-up on the show’s fourth season through On-Demand.
