When it comes to Marvel Television, there generally seems to be a long wait for any news concerning DVD & Blu-Ray release dates. Perhaps the best example of this would be the Netflix shows – after all, we’re now four seasons into the Netflix shows, and will only just be getting Daredevil season one on Blu-Ray next month. While the ABC shows have seen a faster release on home video, they haven’t been without their own frustrations. After all, the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as the first season of Agent Carter, were released as Amazon exclusives last year meaning there would be no way to pick-up a physical copy during a trip to your local Target or Best Buy. Given how quickly those were released following their season’s endings – approximately four months later – fans expected we’d see some news regarding the home releases of S.H.I.E.L.D. season three and Agent Carter season two around the same timeframe this year.

That, however, hasn’t been the case. We’re nearly through October, and S.H.I.E.L.D. season three and Agent Carter season two have yet to see release dates in the US. But judging by a tweet from Marvel UK, it’s entirely possible that could be changing soon enough.

We usually see release dates hit for international markets ahead of any news for US fans, and when that news does hit, the US release typically isn’t too far off from the UK release date. So, taking that into consideration, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see S.H.I.E.L.D. season three hit home video until February 2017. Again, that’s merely speculation on my end. For now, you can watch the first three seasons of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Netflix now!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s fourth season airs Tuesdays on ABC at 10 PM.
