All eyes are on Avengers: Endgame right now but another Marvel property is returning soon. May will also see the release of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s sixth season which will bring back our favorite agents. In a post-Coulson era (once again), everyone is trying to figure out how the future of S.H.I.E.L.D. looks like. Director Mack is taking over a major responsibility as they face a brand new world. We still do not know if it takes place before or after the events of Infinity War, so who knows how it all affects their next arc. With the May 10th release just a month away, Marvel officially released character portraits of the main cast and a very important hint at Clark Gregg‘s mystery character.

The largest reveal in this release is that Clark Gregg‘s new character is named Sarge. It most likely is just a nickname but it at least confirms that he does not run around as just a character also being called “Coulson”. We will hopefully find out who exactly this mystery character is once the show returns and what his inclusion means for the show moving forward. We also get another highlight of the return of Deke Shaw (Jeff Ward) who is also a major mystery moving into the sixth season. Either we will get another travel into the future or he somehow managed to survive the time paradox.
What do you think about Sarge? Who do you think he really is?
