There is still no real confirmation that Marvel Studios will attend San Diego Comic-Con this year. It would make for a fitting send-off of the Infinity Saga after the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Luckily, we do have one MCU confirmation for SDCC and that is Marvel TV’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and it is returning in a major fashion. For the first time SHIELD will be taking over Hall H, one of the most sought after halls at SDCC. The timing is perfect as they will hold their panel on Thursday, July 18th right before the release of the season’s tenth episode Leap.
Marvel Television: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
3:30 – 4:30 PM, Hall H
The cast and producers of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return to San Diego Comic-Con in epic fashion as they take over Hall H for the first time ever! Be the first to hear the scoop about the show-stopping conclusion for season six and what awaits in season seven of Marvel’s flagship television show. With your favorite stars in attendance, including Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, Iain De Caestecker, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, and Jeff Ward, along with executive producers Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon, Jeff Bell, and Jeph Loeb, this is a must-see panel to celebrate seven seasons with the world’s greatest fans! This action-packed series from Marvel Television and ABC Studios airs Fridays at 8/7c on ABC.
SHIELD didn’t even book Hall H for when they revealed the inclusion of Ghost Rider in its fourth season. Normally the show’s panels aren’t filled with massive reveals. They commonly consist of a Q&A followed by an exclusive screening of an upcoming episode if they already finished filming one. If they had some kind of reveal, it was common to confirm the appearance of a well-known Marvel character like they did with Mockingbird for the second season or the previously mentioned Ghost Rider. There have been rumors that the already greenlight seventh season might be the last one so they could be trying to go all out. It would be quite interesting to see Sarge meet Captain America in the series, especially as he is the polar opposite of Coulson. The latest episode had some teases for some kind of “God” coming to earth and it may tie into the seventh season, which will be teased at the event. Will be interesting to see what they have planned.
What do you expect to see? Anything you hope they reveal for the seventh season?
