Doctor Strange, which will see Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role, officially entered production last week in Nepal, and thanks to those near set, we were able to get our first look at both Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo. While Marvel has yet to officially announce any cast members other than Cumberbatch, we already know that Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton (The Ancient One), Mads Mikkelsen, Michael Stuhlbarg (Nicodemus West), and obviously Ejiofor are all a part of the film. And now, thanks to The Wrap, we now have another name to add to that list – Amy Landecker. Per The Wrap, Landecker’s role is being kept under wraps for right now, although, given the size of the cast already, I wouldn’t expect it to be a large one.
“Transparent” star Amy Landecker has joined the cast of Marvel’s “Doctor Strange,” an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap. Scott Derrickson is directing the movie, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton and Landecker’s “A Serious Man” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg. Cumberbatch plays neurosurgeon Stephen Strange, who after a horrific car accident discovers a hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Landecker’s role is being kept under wraps.
What role do you think Landecker is playing? Sound off in the comments below!
Doctor Strange will hit movie theaters on November 4th, 2016.
