One highlight for the year will be the upcoming release of Thor: Ragnarok. The first trailer was a pleasant surprise for many and there is a lot of hope that director Taika Waititi has some great surprises ready for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since seeing the trailer, we haven’t heard much from the project, likely beucase the main focus has been on the Spider-Man: Homecoming release in two weeks. Luckily, we got a glimpse from Andy Park‘s illustration of a hardcover for the Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe book that is being sold during the Australian exhibit on the MCU.

The art piece showcases once again the great new look of Thor, as we finally get him to wear his helmet, which was given an interesting redesign with the two blades that hopefully will be used much more often throughout the franchise. While we have not seen much of Thor on the Avengers: Infinity War set, we will probably see him return to his original design given the released art work, as he fights alongside Rocket Raccoon. Hopefully, they may have decided to keep this look for a bit longer given the positive response and would it not be funny seeing everyone’s confusion for the different appearance.
What are your thoughts on this new design? Would you want to keep his look in the MCU, or do you prefer his traditional design? Let us know, in the comments!
