Oscar winner Angelina Jolie is currently in talks, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with Marvel to take her first step into the world of superheroes with The Eternals.
Directed by Chloe Zhao and written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, The Eternals will be a story spanning thousands of years about a race of ageless and (nearly) immortal beings known as Eternals with a mutated race among them known as the Deviants. We know little of the story thus far, besides that it will feature a love story between Ikaris & Sersi.
At this time, it is unknown what role Angelina Jolie could be playing. There was a cast breakdown released a few weeks back by That Hashtag Show and from what was shown there, the choices have been narrowed to just three – Elysisus, Thena, or Sersi. I would imagine it would be the latter, being the female lead, but the prospect of getting Angelina Jolie to commit to a contract for multiple appearances for likely the next ten years sounds almost unbelievable.
