Following last night’s announcement that Annette Benning was in talks to join Captain Marvel, we’ve got another Annette joining the MCU family. TV veterans Annette O’Toole and Corbin Bernsen have joined the second season of the Punisher as original husband and wife characters created for the show. According to Marvel:
Corbin Bernsen (“American Gods,” “Psych”) will play the role of Anderson Schultz, an extremely wealthy man who’s grown accustomed to getting his way. His power and legacy are of prime importance, and he’ll implement less-than-legal means to further those ends.
Annette O’Toole (“Cat People,” “Smallville”) has been cast as Eliza Schultz, a conniving, wealthy woman, cut from the same manipulative cloth as her husband, Anderson.
Both Marvel TV head honcho Jeph Loeb and showrunner Steven Lightfoot expressed excitement about the inclusion of these two TV legends saying, “Our audience will enjoy them in very unexpected but perfectly cast roles.” Based on their descriptions alone, it’s clear that the Schultz family is a very corrupt one and may, in fact, face the wrath of Frank Castle in the show.
