A little over two years ago, Anthony Mackie made his first appearance as Sam Wilson aka Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. His charisma in combination with his unique flying suit made him one of the standouts of the movie as well as an instant fan favorite. He has since made cameos in Avengers: Age of Ultron, as well as Ant-Man, and had a much larger role in the recently released Captain America: Civil War.

Due to his rise in popularity, a Phase 4 film led by Falcon would certainly make plenty of people happy. Mackie has repeatedly said how much he loves working with Marvel and wants to play Falcon as many times and as long as he can. He has previously said a Falcon movie does not interest him, but it appears he may have changed his tune. In an interview with The Young Folks, Mackie expressed interest in a solo film so Falcon’s life can be further explored.

If you look at The Falcon in the comic books, he’s very different than The Falcon in the movies. I would love to see the idea of him being his own man, in his own neighborhood.

What a Falcon movie would look like exactly is a mystery, but Marvel has the tendency to team up heroes in the movies. Whether it is Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok, Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming, or even going as far as putting both names in the title like Ant-Man and the Wasp, one hero is not enough for Marvel or audiences at this rate. So who would Mackie like to have as a co-star? None other than the Hulk.

I’m a Hulk fan. I love the incredible Hulk. When I was a kid, I use to break all my stuff and scream ‘Smash!’ I understand Hulk wasn’t in this movie, but I would love to see a Falcon and Hulk movie. Mark Ruffalo is the perfect Hulk, so it works.

As it stands, there is no room for a Falcon solo film for a few more years and will depend heavily on the outcome of Avengers: Infinity War. Are you interested in seeing a Falcon solo movie? If so, let us know what you want it to be like in the comments below!
