We still have some time to go until ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for its sixth season. Even the already confirmed seventh season will enter production long before the cast returns this summer. There were teases, such as our first look at S.H.I.E.L.D.’s new, or rather returning, director Mack and Daisy’s new outfit but it there hasn’t been much new on the series since then. We might also not see a new trailer for quite some time, as summer shows aren’t promoted until the current season comes to an end. Luckily, it seems that some casting news has found its way online, as Revenge of the Fans has uncovered that Anthony Michael Hall will be joining the series.

Hall is well-known for his roles in The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Netflix’s War Machine. He also has some experience in superhero properties, as he had a role in DC’s The Dark Knight. He will be joining SHIELD as a guest character and it is unsure who he might be playing. There is a chance that he only appears for one episode or makes a few appearances throughout the season. There is also no info if he might be a character from the comics or an original for the show.

That is not all, as they also confirm the return of Joel Stoffer as Enoch, a personal favorite from the last season who hopefully gets a larger role moving forward. If there is anything that the SHIELD team needs it would be Enoch to point out how crazy they are at times. His interactions with Fitz and Deke. We will also see the return of Melinda May’s right-hand woman Agent Piper (Briana Venskus). It seems like our base team might be expanded moving forward.

What do you think of the casting? Who do you think he could be playing? Happy to see Enoch and Piper back?
