It was already confirmed that a third Ant-Man film is in the works at Marvel Studios with Peyton Reed, who directed the first two films, returning to cap off the trilogy. Even if we are long ways ahead of seeing at least a sneak peek of the film, it has now been confirmed from a report from insider Charles Murphy that filming is set to take place at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.

Pinewood Studios is not a stranger to a setting for Marvel films. Several MCU films have already filmed in the location with the likes of Avengers Endgame, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: Civil War, and even the first two Ant-Man films. There is no word yet regarding the start of production but a statement from Michael Douglas, who plays Hank Pym and who is also confirmed to return, believed that it will begin sometime in January 2021.

We’ve heard that the third installment of Ant-Man is rumored to set up the introduction of the Young Avengers to the MCU and the film could be a lowkey passing of the torch from one generation of heroes to another. Moreover, it is already a given that the Quantum Realm is the driving force of the Ant-Man films. We will not be surprised if it would serve as an avenue of introducing other characters that could debut in the MCU such as the Fantastic Four or it could be the connecting thread to another Avengers film or even a larger villain. The possibilities are endless.

The untitled Ant-Man threequel is set to be released sometime in 2022.
