Yesterday, a Twitter user by the name of AJ Designs treated us a look at new Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel promo art. How he managed to get his hands on such a thing is beyond us but we’re nonetheless grateful that we saw it. Now, he has his hands on a new set of promotional materials and they give us a new look at the full line-up as well as a close up at Cap’s scale armor. Check it out!
Fans who have been following MCU costume design both onscreen and behind-the-scene know that the scale armor was a design that was almost used in Captain America: Civil War, hence the side-by-side comparison. And if you’ve seen the film, you know that the design was nixed in favor of something closer to Cap’s Avengers: Age of Ultron costume. Seeing Cap in it for Avengers 4, it’s clear that the Russos have an affinity for such an iconic costume component in the comics. As for the rest of the images, you can put two and two together that these design assets get used a lot in the promotional process. We don’t necessarily get a completely different look at the characters but we do have an idea on what the marketing push could look like. There’s a real cosmic aesthetic to these designs which hint to a story of cosmic proportions. We can’t wait to see more of these.
