In a recent Instagram post, it was revealed that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. director, Billy Gierhart, will be returning to direct an episode from yet another Marvel Television series.  The director has a bit of experience in Marvel Television, from Jessica Jones to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In a beautiful picture taken from location highlights the beauty that we will hopefully see utilized in the season finale of Inhumans. The picture doesn’t reveal much, highlighting the beauty of their shooting location, but the added text reveals that they are already filming the season finale. This puts the show on track for its September release, while also allowing enough time to work on the CGI-heavy aspects of this show, especially Medusa’s hair and Lockjaw.

Gierhart has directed some of the best SHIELD episodes of the last season, such as the season finale, World’s End, the introduction to Ghost Rider, The Ghost and the episode featuring a surprise cameo with The Good Samaritan. That is not all, as the director was also involved with directing the pilot for Marvel’s Most Wanted, which never made it on the air, and directed AKA Take a Bloody Number of Jessica Jones.

The director also has quite an extensive library of television work, which includes ABC’s Once Upon a Time, The Bastard Executioner, Sons of Anarchy, Torchwood and a show often referenced by Marvel Television head, Jeph LoebThe Shield. He certainly has proven to have a great handling on interesting character dynamics, effects-driven plots and superhero features thanks to the various shows that he has worked on. It will be interesting to see how he will tackle the Inhumans finale.

Are you excited to see this creative continuity in Marvel Television? Are there any particular moments you hope to see in the season finale of Inhumans? Let us know, in the comments!
