New 'Black Panther' Featurette Introduces the Dora Milaje

The year has only just begone and we are only a little over a month away from the release of Marvel Studios’ first film of the year, Black Panther. Chadwick Boseman‘s T’Challa may be the focus of the film but the main star might as well be Wakanda and its people. With a story focusing on a man unwillingly forced to take over the throne of his father after the events of Captain America: Civil War, we will now finally get a good look at that very kingdom he now rules. One major part of the film will be the Dora Milaje, who are sacred warriors that are trained to protect the king. Marvel released a brand new featurette that gives a bit more insight into their role in the film alongside some brand new footage.

The featurette features quite a bit of brand new footage of the film, which teases quite a few action sequences with the Dora Milaje. It certainly seems that before Killmonger can take on the king he will have a showdown with the Wakandan warriors. The line “There will only be the conquered and conquerors!” also gives us a great insight into the main theme behind the story. It seems like it will build upon his story arc in Civil War, as the actions of Killmonger will test if he truly let go of that thirst for revenge and if he truly has what it takes to be a king.
