Here’s something we never thought would be teased for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Marvel Youtube’s main host and senior creative producer Lorraine Cink just put up this tweet, hinting at some major things for SHIELD next year that may involve Jeffrey Ward (not that Ward!) in some capacity.
Well shit. Fans have long been pining for Blade comeback since the rights reverted to Marvel along with Daredevil and Ghost Rider a few years back. And with the massive success of the Netflix shows, a streaming service with no qualms for violence and gore seemed like a perfect fit for the vampire hunter. But I guess with a Disney-exclusive streaming service on the horizon and the company’s plan to distance themselves from Netflix, it makes sense to keep the character on a platform they own. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gave Ghost Rider his due so they probably can do wonders with Blade. Maybe this is all a top secret ploy to do a Midnight Sons backdoor-pilot to prep for the streaming service.
