The past few weeks have been slow on the Marvel side. Outside of a few quotes here and there, there has not been much to report on. But man did Marvel change that up over the last hour. What was supposed to be a Luke Cage panel turned into so much more. Daredevil has been renewed for a third season, Claire Temple has been seemingly confirmed to return in Iron Fist, and the first trailer for Luke Cage was released. If that was not enough for you and wanted to know even more about the upcoming Netflix slate, then don’t worry, Marvel’s got you covered yet again.
Marvel debuted the following teaser video for The Defenders and although it is not much, it does confirm a 2017 release for the series. And it also pretty much confirms the Hand. Check it out below!
The teaser does not do much besides tease, although the voiceover done by Scott Glenn aka Stick seems to indicate that he will be in involved. His line, “You think you can save New York? You can’t even save yourselves.” is a direct fire at the future team and with his knowledge of The Hand and the way season 2 of Daredevil ends, it seems that theories will be proven correct that The Hand is the threat to unite the four lone heroes.
