Among the Luke Cage hype at San diego Comic-Con this evening, Marvel has just announced that Netflix’s first Marvel series, Daredevil, will return for a third season. However, much like was the case with the season two renewal announcement for Jessica Jones, the streaming giant isn’t entirely sure just when the third season of Daredevil will hit. After all, they still have to get through Iron Fist and The Defenders, two shows that were contracted back in 2013 as part of a major deal between Marvel and Netflix. With those two shows taking precedent, it’s more than likely we won’t see season three of Daredevil, or a season two of Jessica Jones until after Iron Fist, The Defenders and the upcoming Punisher Series.

The Daredevil Twitter feed celebrated the announcement with a short video, which seems to promise more blood.
