Minor Spider-Man: Homecoming spoilers to follow
Calling all teachers! If you enjoyed the Captain America PSAs from Spider-Man: Homecoming and want to use them in your classrooms later this year, I have good news for you! The fun little PSAs that were filmed to assist the teachers of the Midtown School of Science & Technology (as well as many other high schools across the country I’m sure) will be available later this year in the Special Features and Extras section when Spider-Man: Homecoming comes to digital and Blu-ray. While we only saw two (or three if you count the final post-credits scene), director Jon Watts went on to say that there is a lot more where those came from.
“We put it together like it was the actual DVD that they show at the school, so it just is clicking from one to another to another.I just wrote pages of them ’cause I had Chris Evans for however amount of time, so I just feed him … I think we had a teleprompter actually, so he was just … It was like Captain America just showed up and had to do this stuff for the government… He’s just reading it off the scrolling thing and being like, ‘Are you sure you want me to say this?’”
Watts also stated that were at least 10 PSAs shot with Evans and that it should come with a “play all” type of feature. However, if they would like to cater to teachers around the world in a fun way, hopefully there is a way to play them individually by the theme that Evans was instructed to present as Captain America. Unfortunately for most of us, Spider-Man: Homecoming is still only in it’s first full week at theaters and a Digital/Blu-ray release is still months away.
Spider-Man: Homecoming brought in over $117 million domestically in it’s first weekend making it the number 1 movie in the United States, and is currently in theaters (obviously!).
