The MCU has changed the world of movies in more ways than one. Not only are more and more studios trying to create their own cinematic universes, but they have also made post credit scenes as popular as ever. The mid and post credit scenes have become a staple for Marvel movies, with fans being disappointed if there are not at least multiple extra scenes.

These scenes have ranged from silly add ons, to setting up sequels, and even giving first looks at characters such as Thanos. Doctor Strange is one character that has yet to make his debut and will do so later this year, which has led to plenty of people wondering if he could pop up following Captain America: Civil War. Strange is a more unknown character that could use a big audience such as the ones that will be viewing Civil War, and the directors have finally been asked if we will in fact see him.

Forbes had the chance to talk to Joe and Anthony Russo and brought up the question of Benedict Cumberbatch making his debut after the movie. While they did not confirm what would appear, Joe did tease that there could be a record number attached to the credits.

We can’t say who is going to be in it but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three. We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done.

You have to wonder after people questioning the decision to put a Thanos tease instead of one for Ant-Man following Avengers: Age of Ultron, if Marvel will make sure Doctor Strange gets some attention to help boost anticipation. If he is one of the possible three scenes, I think one could include someone else picking up Cap’s shield if they follow the comics. This would also be a nice place to tease more about Black Panther or possibly show what Martin Freeman‘s Everett Ross or Daniel Brühl‘s Baron Zemo will be up to next.

Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
