Disney’s acquisition of Fox should be on pace to finish some time in early Spring of next year or potentially even earlier than that. Besides India, China was that last big hurdle for Disney, due to recent trade agreement tension with the United States, but now that it’s been approved, Disney only needs to clear this deal with several more countries.
Now, obviously, since you’re on a site centered around Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you want to know how this affects the character rights. Well, it doesn’t, since, again, Disney still needs approval from several more countries. This can’t be stressed enough, they cannot use the X-Men or Fantastic Four until the deal is completely done and even then, Kevin Feige has said that we’d have to wait a bit even after the deal is done.
So, don’t be getting your hopes up in seeing a cameo from either party at the end of Avengers 4 next year.
